Most venue lists tell you how pretty a place is. This one is for the practical side: how big each room really is, which rules affect your vendors, and where a photo booth fits. We have set up at venues across Southern California, and these are the Los Angeles-area wedding venues couples ask us about most, with the planning notes we would give you before the day.
A note on numbers: venues publish different capacities in different places (and change rooms over time). We list the figure the venue publishes where we could find it, and link our sources. Always confirm the current capacity and vendor rules with the venue's events team.

Malibu and the ranches
Calamigos Ranch (Malibu)
A ranch with an on-site resort and several named spaces, including the Redwood, Birchwood and Oak rooms, the Pavilion and the vineyard. Listings put indoor receptions at around 500 guests. Catering and bar are in-house; outside photographers and entertainment vendors are welcome, and a local florist reports that liability insurance is required from every vendor. We have set up here on the lawn (see our Calamigos Ranch Glam Booth setup), and it works well with shade, a level spot and power within reach.
Saddlerock Ranch (Malibu)
A working ranch and vineyard with five ceremony and reception sites: the Main Lawn, Oak Grove, Camp Cabernet, the Vineyard and the Hilltop. Everything here is outdoors, so the questions are power, lighting after sunset and a firm surface for the booth.
Hummingbird Nest Ranch (Simi Valley)
A 124-acre estate listed for up to about 1,000 guests. According to its Zola listing, renters arrange their own event insurance, valet, security and restrooms, and there is no dance floor or built-in AV. For a photo booth that means confirming where power comes from before the day, and planning lighting for the booth area.
Pasadena and San Marino
The Langham Huntington, Pasadena
A historic hotel with two ballrooms: the Huntington Ballroom (listed at about 650 seated) and the Viennese Ballroom (about 4,085 sq ft with 25-ft ceilings), plus the Viennese Terrace outdoors. Ballroom weddings are the easiest photo booth setups: indoor power, a foyer or dance-floor edge, and a hotel loading route.
The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens
The Huntington's own page describes a cocktail and dinner format for up to 120 guests and another for up to 250, and every inquiry goes through its Special Events department. A listing notes weddings are booked through 2026, so plan well ahead. Because it is a museum and garden, ask Special Events early where vendors may set up and what the load-in route is.
Westside and Beverly Hills
Fairmont Century Plaza (Century City)
The Los Angeles Ballroom is more than 13,000 sq ft with 20-ft ceilings and divides into three. The hotel lists a maximum of 1,868 standing. A room this size easily holds two booths: for example a Glam Booth for printed strips and a 360 Booth for video.
The Beverly Hilton (Beverly Hills)
Home of the International Ballroom (16,338 sq ft; 1,100 banquet per Hilton's capacity chart), best known for awards-season galas. Large weddings and galas here mean long guest lines at a single booth: for 300+ guests consider two booths or extra hours. See how many hours of photo booth you need.
Downtown and Hollywood
Vibiana (Downtown LA)
A former cathedral with 45-ft ceilings; the operator lists events up to 800 guests and full buyouts above 1,000. A dramatic room calls for a booth that fits the architecture: the Vintage enclosed booth or a black-and-white Glam Booth both look at home here.
Taglyan Complex (Hollywood)
A grand ballroom on Vine Street, popular for large Armenian and cultural weddings. Listings show a ballroom of about 7,052 sq ft (about 500 seated), a garden and foyer, guest minimums on weekends, and seven hours of event time not counting setup and cleanup. Plan your booth hours to the part of the night with the most guests on their feet: cocktail hour into dancing.
The Ebell of Los Angeles (Mid-Wilshire)
A historic women's club with a lounge, a garden and the Wilshire Ebell Theatre. Wedding guides list indoor receptions of 100–250 and a garden reception of about 200 seated. The in-house caterer is required, with exceptions for some ethnic and kosher menus. A booth fits in the lounge or at the garden edge.
Carondelet House (Westlake)
A historic indoor mansion listed at about 150 seated, rented for ten hours of exclusive use. Rooms are smaller, so pick the booth spot during your walkthrough: a corner near the bar with space for a short line works well.
Just outside LA: Orange County favorites we have worked
- The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel (Dana Point). Oceanfront lawns and a ballroom; after booking, a Special Events Manager is your on-property contact. In October 2026 we set up a Mochi Booth here in a custom black-and-white wrap for Anika and Kru's wedding.
- Paséa Hotel & Spa (Huntington Beach). The Sapphire Ballroom is 8,400 sq ft (720 on the hotel's site) and opens onto the Ocean Lawn.
- Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach. Several ballrooms and lawns, popular for large South Asian weddings.
Travel to Orange County is a flat $150, the same as anywhere in LA County and the Inland Empire. See our Orange County page.
What to ask any venue before booking a photo booth
- Vendor insurance: does the venue need a certificate of insurance, and who should it name as additional insured?
- Load-in: loading dock or front door, stairs or elevator, and any load-in window.
- Power: is there a standard outlet near the booth spot, especially outdoors?
- End time: when must music and vendors finish, and when must equipment be out?
- Space: can the room give the booth about 8 × 8 ft without blocking a doorway or the dance floor?
Our space, power and setup guide covers each of these in detail, and we confirm them with your venue for you.

Check your dateFrequently asked questions
Do Los Angeles wedding venues allow photo booths?
Most do. Hotels, ranches and historic venues across LA regularly host photo booths. Many ask vendors for a certificate of insurance naming the venue as additional insured, and some set load-in windows.
How much space does a photo booth need at a wedding venue?
About 8 by 8 feet per booth and one standard outlet nearby. A 360 booth also needs clearance for its rotating arm.
Can a photo booth be set up at an outdoor ranch venue like Calamigos or Saddlerock?
Yes. Outdoors we need a level, firm surface, shade or cover, a rain plan, weighted stands for wind and power within reach. We confirm these with the venue in advance.
Should a large ballroom wedding have two photo booths?
For about 300 or more guests, two booths or extra hours keep lines short. A popular pairing is a Glam Booth for printed strips and a 360 Booth for video.
Is there a travel fee for LA wedding venues?
Travel is a flat $150 anywhere in LA County, Orange County and the Inland Empire.
