Photo booth prices in Los Angeles range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand, and the quotes rarely compare like for like. One company quotes two hours with a backdrop and an iPad; another quotes four hours with an attendant, studio lighting, unlimited prints and a custom design. This guide explains what a photo booth rental really costs in Los Angeles and Southern California in 2026, what drives the price, and the fees to ask about before you sign.
We publish our full rate card, so the numbers below are real, not "starting from" teasers. We have run 1,000+ events across LA, Orange County, the Inland Empire and San Diego since 2022.
The short answer
- Across the US, a typical photo booth rental runs about $450 to $1,000, with a median around $680, according to Check Cherry’s 2026 pricing guide. WeddingWire puts the average wedding booth around $650.
- Premium booths cost more: studio-lit glam booths, 360 video booths, enclosed vintage booths and fully branded booths usually sit above that national range, especially for 3+ hours with an attendant and unlimited prints.
- At LA Glam Booth, personal events start at $1,250 for 3 hours (Glam Booth) and corporate events at $1,495.

What drives the price of a photo booth
1. The type of booth
An iPad on a stand and a studio-lit booth with a dye-sublimation printer are different products. Lighting, camera, printer and hardware cost more for premium booths, and booths like our Mochi and Vintage booths also involve fabrication and custom software. Not sure which you need? Compare them in Glam vs 360 vs Mochi vs Vintage.
2. Hours
Most events book 3 to 5 hours. Ask whether setup time counts against your hours (ours doesn't: we set up before guests arrive) and what each extra hour costs. Our booth guide covers how to match hours to your timeline.
3. Prints
Unlimited prints are standard with us, on 300 DPI dye-sublimation photo paper. Some companies cap prints or charge per print, which can add up fast at a 200-guest wedding. The 360 Booth is digital only.
4. Customization
A custom template with your names, date or logo is included. Full customization costs more and is quoted with your design: a full-body vinyl wrap, custom touchscreen screens, custom stickers on the Mochi Booth, or a custom curtain and floor on the Vintage Booth.
5. Add-ons
| Add-on | Price |
|---|---|
| Custom backdrop (sequin, flower wall or printed) | $250–$350 |
| Customized, theme-specific props | $150 |
| Live slideshow on a separate screen | $200 |
| Guest book album | $75 |
| Leather photo keychains | 50 for $595 · 75 for $750 · 125 for $995 |
| Photo magnets | 50 for $250 · 75 for $350 · 125 for $500 |
6. Travel
Our travel fee is a flat $150 within Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire, $175 for Palm Springs, $200 for San Diego and $250 for Santa Barbara. Farther destinations are quoted with real crew travel costs.
7. Sales tax and payment fees
In California, a package that includes physical prints or keepsakes is taxable at the venue city’s sales tax rate. A digital-only 360 Booth is not taxed unless a physical add-on is included. We itemize tax on the agreement. Credit cards carry a 3% processing fee; Zelle, ACH and Venmo do not.
Three example budgets
- A 4-hour wedding reception in Pasadena with a Glam Booth and a guest book album: $1,550 + $75 + $150 travel = $1,775, plus sales tax because prints are included.
- A 3-hour birthday in Orange County with a 360 Booth only: $1,350 + $150 travel = $1,500, with no sales tax because it is digital only.
- A 5-hour wedding with a Glam Booth and a 360 Booth: $1,795 + $1,895 + travel. Two booths keep lines short at bigger guest counts and give guests both a print and a video.
Your agreement shows every line, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
How booking and payment work
A signed agreement and a 50% retainer hold your date; the balance is due 7 days before the event. Cancel more than 30 days before the event and you get a full refund, retainer included. Within 30 days, the retainer is non-refundable. One reschedule is free with 30+ days’ notice, subject to availability.
Questions to ask any photo booth company before you book
Couples’ most common complaints about booth vendors are a no-show, a vendor who goes quiet after the deposit, a printer that fails mid-event, and photos delivered weeks late. These questions protect you:
- Is there a signed agreement listing hours, prints, add-ons, travel, tax and the cancellation policy?
- Is an attendant on site for the whole booking?
- Are prints unlimited, and what paper and printer do you use?
- Does setup time count against my hours, and when do you arrive?
- Can you send a certificate of insurance to my venue?
- When and how do we get the digital gallery?
- What happens to my deposit if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We answer all of these in writing before you sign. For more, see our guide to choosing the right photo booth in Los Angeles.

How much is a photo booth for a wedding?
Most couples book 4 to 5 hours. At LA Glam Booth, a Glam Booth is $1,550 for 4 hours or $1,795 for 5 hours, including an attendant, unlimited prints, a custom template and a digital gallery, plus travel and sales tax.
How much does a 360 photo booth cost in Los Angeles?
Our 360 Booth starts at $1,350 for 3 hours for personal events and $1,495 for corporate events. It is digital only, so a 360-only package is not charged California sales tax.

At LA Glam Booth each hour past 5 is $350 for the Glam or 360 Booth and $500 for the Mochi or Vintage Booth on the personal rate card.

We take a 50% retainer with the signed agreement to hold your date, and the balance is due 7 days before the event. Cancel more than 30 days out for a full refund.
Why are some photo booth quotes much cheaper?
Lower quotes often mean fewer hours, capped prints, no attendant, a tablet instead of studio lighting and a pro printer, or travel and tax added later. Compare the hours, prints, staffing and every fee, not just the headline price.
