Choosing a photo booth used to mean picking a backdrop and a print size. Today there are booths that make editorial portraits, booths that shoot slow-motion video, booths that let guests decorate their photos with stickers, and booths that recreate the classic curtain-and-strip experience. Each one changes what your guests do and what they take home.
We run all four at LA Glam Booth, across 1,000+ events in Los Angeles, Orange County and Southern California, so this guide is the same advice we give couples and event planners on the phone: what each booth is, who it suits, what it costs, and how to decide.
The four booths at a glance

Glam Booth: the portrait everyone frames
The Glam Booth is our most-booked booth. Guests step in front of studio lighting and get an editorial, black & white portrait that flatters every skin tone and every outfit. Color is available, but black & white is the signature, and it is why the prints end up framed instead of forgotten in a bag.
- Prints: 2x6 strips (three photos) or 4x6 prints (four photos), 300 DPI dye-sublimation on premium photo paper, printed in seconds. Prints are unlimited for the whole booking.
- Customization: a custom template with your names, date or logo in your colors, plus a backdrop and curated props.
- Space: about 8 by 8 feet and one standard outlet.
Choose it if you want the most guests to leave with something they will keep, especially at weddings and black-tie events. It is also the best value of the four.
360 Booth: video made for sharing
Guests stand on a platform while a camera on an arm orbits them, capturing slow-motion video with your branded overlay and music. It fits three to four people at a time and is the loudest, most energetic booth we run.
- Output: digital video and GIFs shared instantly by text, email or QR code. There are no prints.
- Customization: branded video overlay, music and effects.
- Space: about 8 by 8 feet plus clearance for the arm, and one outlet.
Choose it if social content matters more than a physical keepsake: product launches, influencer events, sweet sixteens, or a wedding that already has a photographer covering portraits. Many couples pair it with a Glam Booth so guests get both a video and a print.
Mochi Booth: the modern, fully custom booth
The Mochi Booth is our modern luxury booth, inspired by Korean purikura photo studios. After the photos are taken, guests decorate them on the touchscreen with digital stickers and drawings before printing, which makes every strip personal and keeps the line excited.
- Prints: 2x6 strips or 4x6 prints, 300 DPI dye-sublimation.
- Customization: the most of any booth: a full-body vinyl wrap, custom touchscreen screens from start to share, custom print layouts, and your own digital stickers and wording.
- Space: about 8 by 8 feet; the unit is 77.75 inches tall with a 21.5-inch touchscreen, and needs one outlet.
Choose it if you want the booth itself to be part of the design. Brands use it for full brand control (our UNIQLO × Dodger Stadium activation ran on a wrapped Mochi Booth), and couples use it for monograms and custom stickers, like this Sunset Strip wedding.
Vintage Booth: the classic curtain-and-strip experience
The Vintage Booth is a fully enclosed booth: a wood-grain cabinet, a red velvet curtain, a checkered floor and a bench inside. Guests pile in for a private moment and a strip drops from the slot outside, the way photo booths worked in arcades and diners.
- Prints: film-style black & white, color or sepia, with two copies of every strip: one for guests and one for your guest book.
- Customization: everything, inside and out: a full-body vinyl wrap, the curtain, the floor, the touchscreen and posters on the cabinet.
- Space: about 8 by 8 feet and one outlet.
Choose it if you want nostalgia and intimacy, a guest book full of strips, or a booth that doubles as a set piece. See it at DARC Sport’s party at the Pink Motel.
How to choose in four questions
- Do you want guests to take something home? If yes, choose Glam, Mochi or Vintage. If digital is enough, the 360 Booth.
- How much should the booth match your design? Logo and colors on the print: any booth. The whole booth wrapped and branded: Mochi or Vintage.
- What is the mood? Elegant and timeless: Glam. High energy: 360. Playful and modern: Mochi. Nostalgic and intimate: Vintage.
- What is the budget? Glam and 360 start lowest; Mochi and Vintage cost more because of the hardware and the customization they allow.
For bigger guest counts, two booths often beat one: a Glam Booth for prints plus a 360 Booth for video keeps lines short and gives guests two different moments.

What is the difference between a glam booth and a regular photo booth?
A glam booth uses studio lighting and editorial black & white processing to make flattering, portrait-quality photos, while a standard booth usually takes simple color snapshots. At LA Glam Booth the Glam Booth prints unlimited 2x6 strips or 4x6 prints and starts at $1,250 for 3 hours for personal events.
Does the 360 photo booth print photos?
No. The 360 Booth creates slow-motion video and GIFs that guests receive instantly by text, email or QR code. If you want prints too, pair it with a Glam, Mochi or Vintage booth.
What is a Mochi Booth?
The Mochi Booth is LA Glam Booth's modern luxury booth inspired by Korean purikura studios. Guests decorate their photos with digital stickers and drawings before printing, and the booth's wrap, screens, layouts and stickers can all be customized.
Which photo booth is best for a wedding?
Most couples choose the Glam Booth for its timeless black & white prints. Couples who want a guest book of strips choose the Vintage Booth, and couples who want the booth to match their design choose the Mochi Booth. A 360 Booth is a popular second booth for the dance floor.
How much space does a photo booth need?
Plan on about 8 by 8 feet and one standard outlet for each booth. The 360 Booth also needs clearance for its rotating arm.
Can we book two different booths for one event?
Yes. Pairing a Glam Booth with a 360 Booth is common at larger weddings and corporate events: guests get a printed portrait and a shareable video, and lines stay shorter.
