Santa Barbara and Montecito weddings tend to be destination weekends: oceanfront resorts, historic courtyards and guests flying in. We bring the booth up from our Southern California base. Here is what to know about bringing a photo booth to a Santa Barbara wedding.

Venue notes

Capacities are from published venue pages and wedding guides; always confirm current numbers and vendor rules with your venue.

  • The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara (Goleta): the resort lists the Bacara Ballroom and the Ocean Lawn at up to 500 for weddings each, and The Bluff at up to 200. The ballroom is the simplest booth setup; on the lawn or bluff, plan shade, wind and power.
  • Rosewood Miramar Beach (Montecito): the Chandelier Ballroom is about 6,000 sq ft, and listings show its sections from about 95 to 170 seated. A booth needs an 8’ × 8’ spot, so confirm the floor plan once your room is set.
  • Santa Barbara Historical Museum: the Santa Barbara Independent’s wedding guide lists its courtyards for up to 500 guests. Courtyards are outdoors, so plan a level surface, shade and power within reach.

Travel and pricing

Travel to Santa Barbara, Montecito, Goleta and Carpinteria is a flat $250. Booth prices are the same as in LA:

  • Glam Booth: $1,250 for 3 hours, black-and-white or color portraits with unlimited prints.
  • 360 Booth: $1,350, slow-motion video, digital only.
  • Mochi Booth: $2,950, Korean purikura-style photos with stickers.
  • Vintage Booth: $3,750, enclosed with film-style prints.

Sales tax is added at the venue city’s rate for packages with prints. Full details are in our price guide.

Weekend events

Many Santa Barbara weddings run a welcome party or a farewell brunch alongside the reception. A booth at the welcome party breaks the ice for guests who have just arrived; a 360 Booth at the reception gives everyone video to post. Book the weekend together: tell us every event in your inquiry and we quote them in one agreement.

Planning tips

  • Book early: Saturdays in peak season fill first.
  • Coastal evenings: ocean wind and evening damp mean weighted stands and a covered spot for an outdoor booth. See our outdoor tips.
  • Insurance: resorts usually ask vendors for a certificate of insurance; we send one naming your venue.
  • Hours: 3 to 4 hours suits most receptions; see how many hours you need.
