Temecula wine country is one of Southern California’s favorite places to get married: vineyard ceremonies, barrel rooms and sunset terraces. Wineries also have their own rules, from fixed-length packages to early music curfews, and a photo booth has to fit inside them. Here is how to plan one.

Venue notes

Capacities below are from published venue listings; always confirm current numbers and vendor rules with your venue.

  • Wilson Creek Winery: Temecula Valley Winegrowers lists the Champagne Ballroom at 300, the Merlot Mesa at 250 and Vineyard Row at 120. The ballroom is the easiest booth setup: indoor power and a level floor.
  • Ponte Winery & Vineyard Inn: listings show receptions up to 280 seated indoors, with wedding packages built around a 5-hour event. Plan booth hours inside that window.
  • Music curfews: listings show some Temecula wineries ending music at 10pm (Peltzer Winery and Villa de Amore) and others at midnight (South Coast Winery, with outdoor areas earlier). Book the booth to end when the party does.

Timing the booth

With a 5-hour event and a 10pm curfew, every hour counts. Most couples run the booth from cocktail hour into the first hour of dancing, and pause it during dinner and toasts if they want everyone in their seats. For more on this, see how many hours you need.

Outdoor setups in wine country

  • Heat: inland summer afternoons are hot. Put the booth in shade, or under a terrace cover, and keep it out of direct sun.
  • Surfaces: gravel, dirt and slopes need a platform or a move to a flat, paved spot.
  • Power: confirm an outlet within reach of the booth spot. Vineyard lawns can be far from the building.
  • Wind: evening breezes move backdrops, so stands are weighted.

The full checklist is in our outdoor photo booth tips.
