An engagement party is the first time both families and both friend groups meet in one room. A photo booth is the fastest way to mix them: a line forms, strangers squeeze into the same frame, and everyone leaves with a print. Here is how to plan one.
Which booth fits an engagement party?
- Glam Booth ($1,250 for 3 hours): studio-lit black-and-white or color portraits and unlimited prints. Our most booked booth, and the one that makes every guest look their best.
- 360 Booth ($1,350): slow-motion video clips the couple’s friends post the same night. Digital only.
- Mochi Booth ($2,950): Korean purikura-style photos with stickers and drawing, a playful pick for a younger crowd.

Make it about the couple
- Custom print template with your names, the date and your colors, included with every package.
- Guest book album ($75): guests add a print and write a message, so you leave with a book of wishes from both families.
- Keepsakes: photo magnets or keychains make an easy favor. See our keepsakes guide.
- Props: a sign with “She said yes” or your hashtag, plus a few classic pieces. Less is more; see the props guide.
How many hours?
Engagement parties are usually shorter and smaller than weddings, so 3 hours is plenty for most. Start the booth as guests arrive, when people are mingling and meeting each other, rather than during toasts. Above about 150 guests, add an hour or a second booth.
Home and restaurant setups
Many engagement parties are at a family home, a backyard or a private dining room. The booth needs an 8’ × 8’ spot, power within reach and a level floor; outdoors, add shade and a plan for wind. Our space and power guide and outdoor tips cover the details, and travel is a flat $150 across LA County, Orange County and the Inland Empire.
Thinking ahead to the wedding
If you love the booth, the same team can bring it to the wedding. Your engagement-party prints also show you exactly which look you want on the big day, whether that is classic black-and-white, color or a sticker-covered Mochi strip. When you are ready, read our wedding photo booth page and how many hours you need for a wedding.
