Props can make a photo booth strip, or bury it under a pile of random hats. After 1,000+ events we have a strong opinion: fewer, better props, chosen to fit the event, beat a giant bin every time. Here is how to choose them.
What’s included
Every Glam Booth booking includes a curated props collection, set out on a small table beside the booth. For a theme, a brand or a custom touch, custom props are a $150 add-on.
Props that actually photograph well
- Sunglasses: oversized, heart-shaped, retro. They flatter almost everyone and show up in strip after strip.
- Boas and texture: feathers and sparkle catch the light, especially in a 360 Booth video.
- Signs with one strong line: “The Boss”, a hashtag, the couple’s names. Short and bold reads on a 2×6 strip.
- Trophies and statement objects: a mini “GOAT” trophy or a team foam finger gives a group a reason to pose together.
- Things that move: confetti, streamers and veils come alive in slow motion.
Props to skip
- Masks that cover faces: guests want to see themselves in their keepsake.
- Tiny or detailed signs: they disappear on a print.
- Too many props: a crowded table slows the line and every strip starts to look the same.
- Fragile or messy props: glitter and loose confetti indoors can be an issue for venues, so check first.
Props by event
| Event | Ideas |
|---|---|
| Weddings | Signs with your names and date, “Mr & Mrs”, veils, classic sunglasses |
| Birthdays and sweet 16s | Crowns, the birthday number, statement sunglasses, boas |
| Corporate parties | Signs with the company name or year, trophies, a few playful hats |
| Brand activations | Branded props, product tie-ins, team gear (like foam fingers at a stadium) |
| Glam black-and-white | Minimal: sunglasses, pearls, a single flower. Let the lighting do the work |
Custom and branded props
Custom props turn generic fun into something guests remember: signs with the couple’s names, a company logo, a campaign hashtag or the event’s inside jokes. Custom props are $150, and for brand activations they are designed alongside your wrap, screens and frames. See our add-ons and custom builds.
Booth-by-booth
- Glam Booth: fewer props; the black-and-white portrait look is the star.
- 360 Booth: props that move, like boas, streamers and confetti, for the slow-motion moment.
- Mochi Booth: the digital stickers are the props: guests decorate their photos on screen before printing.
- Vintage Booth: classic and minimal, to match the film-style prints.
