The Los Angeles Convention Center hosts some of the biggest shows in the country, and a photo booth is one of the most reliable ways to pull attendees into an exhibit. We have run booths there, and this guide covers what exhibitors need to know: the venue, the paperwork, the logistics and how to turn a booth line into leads.

The venue at a glance

  • Size: the LACC lists about 720,000 sq ft of exhibit space across five halls, with more than 867,000 sq ft in total, plus 64 meeting rooms.
  • Loading: the center lists 48 covered freight docks. Load-in times are set by each show, not the building.
  • Every show is different: show management publishes an exhibitor manual with its own rules, deadlines and vendor requirements. Read it early.

Certificates of insurance

Shows almost always require exhibitors and their vendors to provide a certificate of insurance. The exact terms come from your show’s exhibitor manual. As an example, one recent LACC show manual required general liability of at least $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, naming show management and the Los Angeles Convention Center as additional insured, for move-in through move-out. Send us your show’s requirements and we issue the certificate to match.

Planning the booth in your exhibit

  • Space: about 8 × 8 ft per booth, plus room for a line that doesn’t block the aisle. A 360 Booth needs about 12 × 12 ft of clear floor.
  • Power: order electrical service through the show for your booth location, and tell us where the outlet will be.
  • Internet: show-floor Wi-Fi can be congested; plan your delivery and lead-capture setup with us in advance.
  • Placement: at the front edge of your exhibit, facing the aisle, so the line itself draws people in.
  • Multi-day shows: tell us every show day and its hours; multi-day bookings are quoted together.

Turning the line into leads

  • Lead capture: the booth asks for an email or phone number and custom fields before delivering the photo. Across our brand activations an average of 72% of guests share their details.
  • Badge scanning: attendees scan their show badge instead of typing; tell us the registration provider so we can confirm compatibility.
  • CRM and analytics: leads go to your CRM or arrive as an export, with an analytics dashboard for sessions, shares and leads.

Branding that stops traffic

A fully branded booth reads as part of your exhibit from across the hall: a custom wrap, branded start screens and frames, and a share screen with your hashtag. The Mochi Booth can be wrapped head to toe; the 360 Booth produces branded video for social. See our trade show photo booth page and custom builds.

Pricing

Corporate events start at $1,495 for a 3-hour Glam or 360 Booth. Multi-day shows, lead capture, badge scanning and custom branding are quoted to scope; travel to the LACC is a flat $150.
