At a gala or fundraiser, guests dress up, sponsors want to be seen and the organizers want the night remembered after the checks are written. A photo booth does all three. Here is how to plan one for a black-tie dinner, an annual gala or a charity fundraiser in Los Angeles.

Pick the booth for the room

  • Glam Booth: studio-lit black-and-white portraits that suit black tie. It is our most booked booth for galas, and every guest takes a print home.
  • 360 Booth: slow-motion video in gowns and tuxedos, made for the organization’s social channels. Digital only.
  • The Portrait Lounge: a photographer, editorial lighting and guided posing, for galas that want real portraits of honorees, board members and donors. From $2,500.
  • Two stations: large galas often pair a Glam Booth for prints with a 360 Booth for video.

Pricing

Organization-booked events use our corporate rate card: the Glam or 360 Booth is $1,495 for 3 hours, $1,795 for 4 and $2,040 for 5. Each hour past 5 is $500. Travel is a flat $150 across LA County, Orange County and the Inland Empire. In California, physical prints make the order taxable; a 360-only booking is digital and not taxed. More in our corporate pricing guide.

Give sponsors a moment

  • Sponsor logos on the print and the digital share, alongside the event name and date.
  • A branded backdrop or step-and-repeat with sponsor marks ($250–$350 for a custom backdrop).
  • A live slideshow of booth photos on a screen in the room ($200).
  • A branded start screen on the touchscreen, so the sponsor is the first thing every guest sees.

Timing around the program

Galas run to a tight program: reception, dinner, speeches, the paddle raise or auction, then dancing. Run the booth during the reception, when guests arrive dressed and fresh, and again once the program ends. Pause it during speeches and the appeal, so no one is in line when the room needs to be listening.

Hotel ballrooms and paperwork

Most galas are in hotel ballrooms, which make easy setups: indoor power and a loading route. We confirm the booth spot, power and load-in with the hotel’s events team and send a certificate of insurance naming the venue. Organizations book on a signed agreement with a 50% retainer and can pay by Zelle, ACH or check. Venue notes for Beverly Hills, Pasadena and Long Beach are on our city pages.

Who we work with

We run galas, conventions and annual dinners for hospitals and national organizations, and our corporate clients include DRMC, National Black Association Inc., Netflix, Peacock and Life360. See our corporate events page.
